Completely unrelated, but Microsoft’s account "security" makes me want to launch myself off a building - or better yet, whoever is the security lead at Microsoft. #LifeGoals?
d4rthv00rh33s - 06 Jul 2025 21:27
Let me guess, your PIN expired too and you had to make a new one when trying to log into your PC?
TheGamerSeal - 06 Jul 2025 21:55
@ d4rthv00rh33s, That’s a thing?! No, for me, they locked me out of the account that has MY NAME as the address and are forcing me to use a backup email for a code, except the code never arrives.
TheGamerSeal - 06 Jul 2025 21:56
@ d4rthv00rh33s, I’ve already checked Inbox, Other, Junk, and Trash - it just doesn’t come.
aaronblake1999 - 07 Jul 2025 03:38
@ TheGamerSeal Oh I’d love to, but I just don’t feel interested of doing some sexual stuff. I’ve also been inactive for a long time ago, but thanks for asking me about it.

As I was saying that I need to talk about my own future. I shall apologize for my prolonged inactivity on DigitalEro.
aaronblake1999 - 07 Jul 2025 04:33
Since my account was first activated, I was exploring around with these posters on this site, which users post some models and resources for gmod & sfm (for example, they can be used for animating and posing). But as for me, I did never become more active for 2 years, and I feel it’s necessary to acknowledge the gap.

Anyways, it’s getting late. I’ll pick up where I need to finish my message by tomorrow. Have a good night you all.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 06:26
@ TheGamerSeal, Yeah, the pin is a thing because Microsoft is trying to push people into adopting passkey. So now PIN will expire after a time, that time will likely grow shorter and shorter. Eventually one day you’ll be in the login and Microsoft is not gonna allow you to continue until you set up a passkey. Much like your verification issue now.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 06:29
I have no idea about your issue. I had set up my back-up a while back, because I had an indirect scare, I heard of someone getting their stuff stolen and the thief put two-step on to further complicate the rightful owner getting their account back.
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 06:45
@ d4rthv00rh33s, I’ve never had account security issues with Microsoft. I’m not saying it won’t ever happen, but literally, the only security struggles I’ve EVER had with Microsoft is with MICROSOFT ITSELF.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 07:05
All my struggles with Microsoft have also been because of Microsoft too. Although the issue I heard of that scared me into two-step verification was not for that, but for seeing someone get a game account of theirs hacked.
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 07:12
@ d4rthv00rh33s, If it helps save time, here’s a tip: if you ever run into full-blown lockout like me, don’t waste your time with support - just cut your losses and get a new account. I sat in a three-hour long trench warfare campaign with support only for the higher-up of the higher-up of the chat representative to tell me that the system is automatic and he can’t do anything for me.
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 07:13
Because if it’s just to tell people that you can’t do anything, a simple sign with a middle finger emoji will do the job just as well.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 08:20
If it’s a windows problem my solution is to get Linux. There’s been enough changes now that I don’t sacrifice the things I want. I am 100% doing that the moment they do the aforementioned locking out of account until passkey is set up thing I know they’re going to do.
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 17:16
@ d4rthv00rh33s, What exactly is this Passkey, from your (preferably non-sarcastic) understanding?
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 19:29
A passwordless sign-in. Either your voice, face, fingerprint, I think there’s also an option to just have it be your phone...
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 19:30
Oh, so the thing that would make pre-incident Harvey Dent lose his mind post-incident?
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 19:31
They say it’s safer, feels incredibly invasive and uncomfortable to me. I’m not too keen on making my phone my key either because if I lose it, I’m fucked.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 19:32
It’s also only safer for now. Eventually they’ll crack it and it’ll be just as bad as, if not worse, than when social security numbers get leaked.
d4rthv00rh33s - 07 Jul 2025 19:35
I’m sure Microsoft will force the issue. I’ve not forgotten early Windows 10. Where when it had an update it was gonna do it right then and there, just a box saying to save your work and a countdown until then with no option to even just delay. Also not to mention now with them forcing the switch to Windows 11.
TheGamerSeal - 07 Jul 2025 20:38
@ d4rthv00rh33s, Yeah, a large tech corporation saying their identification hardware is safe is totally legit and trustworthy.
TheGamerSeal - 08 Jul 2025 03:02
You said something about lemons and demanding to see life’s manager?
aaronblake1999 - 08 Jul 2025 03:09
Nah, I mentioned that I’ve been exploring other posters on DigitalEro for way too long. And I believe this site has been around for years.
