DrSchootz, Teach me your ways, wizard!
TheGamerSeal - 15 Mar 2025 07:45
So, I tried to make a statuette, right? Ya know, little... little desk ornament, right? (Yes, it’s welded like that and I’m too tired to fix it.)

TheGamerSeal, Diorama/Figurine excercises are neat, used to love doing those. There was this mod for Skyrim where it replaced a bunch of the goddess statues to be more erotic and pretty much fallen in love with it

Oh, since youve been looking for Skyrim models i wanted to ask, @ TheGamerSeal, do you have a Chaurus Hunter model? Its the only creature model left to be ported to gmod and i cant find one online
TheGamerSeal - 15 Mar 2025 23:52
DrSchootz, I’ll be honest, the modified statues of Dibella always put me off with the extremely oversized breasts. I was more into the bondage side of things anyway, so I didn’t really have many of those lying around. As for the Skyrim models in general, I’ve pretty much just been looking for the skimpy stuff (arrest me, lol) so I don’t have a chaurus hunter - I could have sworn I saw one on the workshop before, but you know how things can just up and disappear from there...

Yeah thats what i thought, theres a SINGLE Deviantart post of someone explaining what a Chaurus Hunter is. Thats the only online proof that the Chaurus Hunter was ever ported for Gmod/SFM

"Oh boy, two cakes!" and in less than a month too!

Redjack, Quick question, is the normal human arm’s elbow joint supposed to have a weird angle when using Ragdoll Mover or is that possibly an issue on my end? ’cause the robot arm’s joint angle is fine. Seems to be a carryover from UB’s original Red Sonja model too
asdewfces - 16 Mar 2025 12:43
DrSchootz, I never use the ragdoll mover, The advanced bone tool is a lot easier in my opinion

I feel like we’ve had this conversation before :v. Also the problem kinda persists, because the sliders move the bone at an askew angle. I’ll try and get a pic
TheGamerSeal - 16 Mar 2025 20:13
DrSchootz, In the Ragdoll Mover panel, up at the top, do you have the two boxes for local position and angle checked or unchecked? If they’re unchecked, then all movement is aligning with the map’s axes and you want to make sure your model is facing one of the cardinal directions before making adjustments; if they’re checked, then you’re moving the model based on the model’s own defined axes.
TheGamerSeal - 16 Mar 2025 20:13
DrSchootz, In other words, if the skeleton hasn’t been put together very well, or if the arms start at non-horizontal angles, you’re just better off aligning the model to a cardinal direction, making your adjustments, and then rotating the model as a whole to your liking.
TheGamerSeal - 16 Mar 2025 20:19
DrSchootz, If you’re not familiar with a map’s cardinal directions, you can run "sv_cheats 1;setang 0 0 0" to face... north? South? One of those. The "setang" command’s values would be as follows...
TheGamerSeal - 16 Mar 2025 20:19
DrSchootz, First number dictates looking up and down, and has a range of -90 (looking straight up) to 90 (looking down); the second number is rotation, and thus has a range of 0 to 359, though if you’re trying to turn clockwise, you’ll want to use negative values for this number; and the third is roll, which you can manually adjust there, or just hold right-click with the camera SWEP and rotate like that for a temporary angle.

DrSchootz, I rarely use tools unless it’s for hands. I know the arm is a bit different than the rest of the model, tbh I rushed those screenshots to release. Been a bit dry here lately and want to keep the dream alive

TheGamerSeal, I’ve always had those boxes checked since i first subscribed to the addon back in 2020 (yeah i checked, i didnt realize ive been playing for 5 years now) and i never really found out what it did other than it makes the gizmo’s alignment wonky if i had it unchecked

But yeah, i guess technically @ Redjack’s method is better since its simpler. I just never thought about it since i cheated and immediately started Gmod with the Ragdoll Mover. i never got a taste for posing ragdolls using the physgun like the ye olde days, so to speak

Oh, other than the arms youve got yourself a really good model! UB’s stuff has always been spectacular, really hits that itch for women with more volume and proportions other than simply slim or thicc

I was thrilled Mikey’s work was so great at grafting that arm onto her, Didn’t know if it was going to work when we started

Redjack, For real, i thought with the type of hinge on her elbow would only allow it to be moved along one axis but the clipping is so good to the point where its still possible to move it to the side a bit. Texture work is amazing too, the little warning labels and text adds a lot. Where was it from?

Redjack - 16 Mar 2025 23:58
That’s Jonny Silverhand’s arm from Cyberpunk 2077. Always thought the spikes on the elbow were a bit weird
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 09:21
My... GOD... it took WAY too damn long to set this up. Please, enjoy the excruciatingly harvested fruits of my labor so I can feel like I didn’t just waste a full hour of my life making these simple little pieces of shite. They actually sway from side to side, but I’m way too drained to make a video.
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 09:27
I taught them myself.
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 09:29
I don’t know if anyone’s interested in dupes here, but if anyone wants one, I can look into it.

Stop motion helper?
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 20:33
DrSchootz, *adjusts reading monocle* Well, let’s have a look, shall we? So, that actually is me to the left, using ActMod and doing one of the dances. The spriggans are actually playermodels, with a minor edit by me, so with the use of the Animated Props addon, I can get them to do the same dance. From there, it’s just a matter of getting the repetition of the movement down and potting the little buggers.
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 20:34
DrSchootz, Nope, no SMH used here. Just some good timing.
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 20:37
DrSchootz, Come on, you gotta admit they’re kinda cute.
TheGamerSeal - 17 Mar 2025 20:54
DrSchootz, I forgot to mention that the dirt in the pot is actually a small, round piece from SProps, colored and submaterialized.
