I never made a rule for banning AI here as it has never been a problem. But if it becomes one, I will. Several subs on Reddit banned it due to the art theft issue which is the main reason I oppose it. And of course the flooding. Prompters generating from 50 to 100 images a day and posted them became too much. It chased people away. The Disneyporn sub allowed Ai at first, but it became unbearable looking at 3 armed and 7 fingered women with 3 nipples and two vaginas. No standard at all.

And even if the Ai didn’t shit itself, it all still looked the same. Factory produced slosh made by a thieving app masquerading as art.

Ai isn’t bad in intself AI art however... that’s another thing..

AI is meant to be a tool used by actual artists to help them in their own work- it should not be used to replace artists. It’s the difference between getting a mass-produced burger from the freezer at a dollar store vs. one a burger made lovingly by a passionate chef.

It has its place, but the stuff made by human hands will always be the superior product.
