i know the limit for ragdoll physics mesh limbs is 31 but anybody know if its possible to squeeze one more out of it and get 32?

So, I just had one of those "several hour projects" only to find that the collision box for a dupe of the build is INSANELY EFFING MASSIVE, like so big, I can’t see the entire little white bounding box on my screen at any one time unless I aim the dupe placement at the far end of the map. Does ANYONE have ANY IDEA why this happens? Several hours of work is completely glued to the random part of the map I started building in.

Many houses where I live are in total chaos due to a fault in the local power net. Been like this since Sunday. Some sockets have normal voltage. Some can’t run a coffee maker. Lights go on and off randomly. Some flicker. Good thing the fridge and freezer get enough power.

What model compilation tools are you guys using? Why do I get a warning that the model uses too many bones when I try to compile some models using crowbar?

Even Blender reminded me that the model’s bone limit is 128 when I imported the smd file.

my model ports that obviously have over 128 bones or even more than 200 bones and they compile and run just fine for me. dunno what limitation blender’s saying it’s only a 128 bone limit for .SMD’s but i guess it’s for source games that aren’t gmod.

@TheFirstDecade i dunno about bone limits but i find that Gmod now allows more materials per model then even SFM

somthing else i noticed is that while trying to get 32 limbs to work in gmod i noticed that GMod is much more forgiving then SFM with the usage of vertices per bone

When you compile a model using crowbar, what are its model compiler settings options? I’m using Source SDK 2013 Multiplayer、 It doesn’t allow me to compile models with more than 128 bones.

In theory, could I convince someone here to add an outfit bodygroup to a model if I showed them how good that outfit (which exists here already, but for a different model with a different body type) could look on the desired character (by cramming it onto the desired model with basically just Advanced Bonemerge, duct tape, and some prayer)?

Would it be possible to learn the exact size adjustments needed for an outfit by opening up the QC files of a clothing model that fits a character model and the QC file of a clothing model that doesn’t fit? Or, maybe, would that only work if the models have the same bone structure ("ValveBiped_Pelvis" wouldn’t be comparable to "hip")?

That’s funny because I saw that same page the other day and was like "That would be cool to see that ported to GMOD but there probably wouldn’t be anyone else interested".

@ TheGamerSeal, I am not entirely sure what you mean, but you need to decompile both models. The one that has the clothes and the model you want to re-fit the clothes to and do so in an 3D-program like Blender or 3DStudio Max

@ Undyingbroccoli, There’s, like, ONE version of the Forsworn armor on DE, and whoever posted it moved the bottom piece to be some kind of weird leg accessory - why is beyond me, but trying to move that piece back to where it’s supposed to be is just the bane of my time in G-Mod.
